Brief Background bio: Rosita Henry is currently the Head of Social Sciences in theCollege of Arts, Society and Education, at James Cook University. Her research concerns the inter-relationships between people, places and things as expressed in practices and performances of everyday life. She is author of the book Performing Place, Practicing Memory: Indigenous Australians, Hippies and the State (Oxford and New York: Berghahn Books, 2012) and co-editor of The Challenge of Indigenous Peoples: Spectacle or Politics? (Oxford: Bardwell Press 2011).
